Lucia Lilikoi
Procession
Bio: Lucia is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, sound-healer and educator from Sevilla, Spain, based between the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles.
She has dedicated her life to music; first trained as a classical pianist at the Madrid Conservatory, she then studied jazz at Berklee College of music, and vocal improvisation with luminaries Rhiannon and Bobby McFerrin.
Lucia’s songs are invocations; love poems to the earth and to the elements to call us home. They are songs of refuge, so we can remember our essence. In the words of Jai Uttal, “her unmistakable voice and lush arrangements carry the current of divine beauty” in a genre she calls dream folk.
When she is not performing her music in ceremony or onstage around the world, Lucia mentors students in her online portal The Voice Lab, guiding others to the blossoming of their own vocal expression and connection to spirit.

Statement: Watching these murders of crows in the evening invoked the beauty of Brian Eno’s or Sigur Ros’ music. I wrote the soundtrack to score the unfolding of flight from dusk until darkness with the idea of liminality in mind. That which is barely perceptible promises the most riches. Like a mantra, which holds its power through repetition, or like the breath, which silently holds life itself, the simple things in life, when payed attention to, are the most striking and magical. I used mostly programmed instruments, and my voice, layered throughout, to express my thought pattern as I related to the visuals.
