Bio: Chris Peck has released 25 albums, beginning with his first cassette in 1994.

His most recent release 'Exact Change' is a solo performance album, recorded live to DSD by Alex Rather-Taylor & Miles Wick (of Inward Creature).

Chris lives in Fairfax, Ca. and teaches music independently there.

Statement:  When Jim sent me the footage that I was to score, the first thing I noticed was a kind of complex slowness on the street. A phalanx of school busses files onto the street and a kind of vibrant stuckness ensues. With patience, all obstacles are dispelled - and so it was with this Pittsburgh afterschool special. I wrote a multimovement suite of funk and free music vignettes, as much an homage to the CHIPS tv show of the 70's as it was to John Scofield and Pat Martino. I wanted to ask patience of the listener, and to then reward that patience with a colorful sense of surprise towards the end of the piece. Alternately titled "Traffic Jam" or "the Rooftop Suite", this music was recorded at my home in the Spring of 2021. I hope you find it entertaining and ultimately rewarding. May we each get where we want to be, eventually, after all obstacles have cleared.
